It's week 8 for the Focus on Life 2014 Weekly Photography Challenge and Sally over at the Studio Sublime has given us the theme of "Cabin Fever" for the month of February and our prompt this week is:
Capture Color!
"For the last week of February, we will be focusing on something that can snap me out of 'cabin fever' and hopefully you, too! Bring on the Color! Capture color in all its vivid brilliance!"
I'm visiting the lovely little haunt of Jerome, AZ with my sister and some friends this weekend, but here's some 'color' that I was organizing this week and snapped a photo of!
Please enjoy all the other color that everyone else was able to capture this week, won't you?!
Until Next Time,
Peace, Love and Color, Baby!
Cheers,
~Shel~
As I told someone in an earlier post, we sometimes forget how beautiful ordinary objects are. Your photo of your colorful cords proves that point.
ReplyDeleteI was in Jerome last week, stayed at the grande hotel and ate dinner at the Asylum. Think we were there on Thursday the 13th (gorgeous day) late anniversary dinner or early valentines. It's such a fun town. I'm jealous of your thread collection too!
ReplyDeleteOh my - we walked the same paths - different weekends, but the same paths! LOL!! I love walking around Jerome.
DeleteOoooo, pretty! What kind of thread or cord is that?
ReplyDeleteBeti - The taller spools are C-Lon cord and the shorter ones are SuperLon (I call it s-lon) is the shorter cord. They are nylon beading cords and I use them occasionally in certain designs instead of silk cord - kinda depends on what I'm doing. These two brands are pretty much the same (to me). They are color-fast, strong and are great for hand knotting tiny pearls and beads - and for macrame, too. Here's a link to Marion over at Jewels in Fiber where she explain the differences (or rather the non-differences) between the two products. http://jewelsinfiber.blogspot.com/2010/02/c-lon-versus-s-lon.html
DeleteGorgeous colours - jewel-like!
ReplyDeleteExcellent photo of color Shel. Enjoy your trip.
ReplyDeleteWow -- love the color AND the organization. My thread is all piled in one plastic organizer tucked in the closet. When I look for a color, I have to dump out the entire drawer. Hope you have a great time this week-end!
ReplyDeleteLovely colours - they look so good organised in colour order.
ReplyDeletegorgeous color! so colored stringing with pearls? Can't wait to see what you're up to with this! and so, so very jealous you've been off to Tucson! Some day I'll make it there to the show
