This week Sally's prompt for us was
"This week take a moment to bring a little
happiness
to your soul and enhance
your well being.
Take a moment to enjoy the beauty of flowers."

However, with the freeze a couple of weeks back and the one this week as well, our rose garden is 'rose-less', and there's no other flowers blooming at the moment either, so I'm sharing with you some of the flowers I've captured in the past.
These are from my backyard, from the White Mountains of AZ, from San Onofre Beach on Camp Pendleton in California and from my trip to Italy last fall.

Yes, I have a slight flower obsession.
It's as bad as my obsession with snapping pics of doors, locks/keys and door knockers.

Can you tell?! ;-)

Italy!!! So beautiful. I love all your shots! Beautiful, colorful flowers - they do make us smile.
ReplyDeleteAll you pictures are gorgeous. Really like the one with the bee.

ReplyDeleteOh Shel, I am so glad you love taking flower pictures they are beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI too have a flower obsession, I find that most of the pictures I take, especially closeups, are always flowers with some nature and birds thrown in for good measure! I love all the shots you shared, the soft closeups of the white flowers are beautiful and I think I could live in those shots of Tuscany!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I just keep looking at these magnificent photos and wishing I was somewhere to see such beautiful blooms! Spectacular shots!!

ReplyDeleteYou and I share a flower and door obsession, Shel! What a bounty, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the compliments you guys - I truly enjoyed seeing everyone's flowers today - it was fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you really do have a knack for capturing the beauty of a flower in a photo. I was thinking while reading the first part. Ah yes, just how a bee sees it up close and pollen... and then there was the bee! Awesome
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for having an obsession with flowers; they're so GORGEOUS! All sorts of shapes, colors, textures, aromas. There's literally a flower for everyone out there :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your beautiful captures! Those definitely lend a little beauty and anticipation for Spring.
Michelle, what a phenomenal selection of floral pictures! They are all amazing, especially the orangish-colored rose. So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Shel - I can see this theme was right up your alley! Amazing shots and so nice to meet someone in the same "neighborhood." Would love to hear about your favorite local bead spots. I seem to put so many miles on the car to find good LBS in the Phoenix area and still revert to doing most of my shopping online. Great blog!
ReplyDeleteHi there Paula! I used to frequent Bead World Glendale and A2Z Beads which were both with in about 5-10 minutes of me, but they both closed right before the holidays and I'm so bummed. I'm not fond of driving to Tempe/Mesa/Chandler to go bead shopping since they're about an hour away, so I too usually turn to the internet! I do pop in to D&I Beads now and then though. We should get together and go 'Valley beadshop shopping'!! ;-)
DeleteGorgeous images, Shel!
ReplyDeleteOMG, these are drop dead gorgeous. I am especially smitten with the bee.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the lovely compliments on my photos - that really means a lot!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots! That last one makes me want to take a trip!
ReplyDeleteI just love all your flower photos.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful shots...and the trip to Italy! What an adventure that must have been! And I love where you focus on the middle of the flower...going toward their little hearts...great shots, and those delicate rose shots are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your visit and comment... Always a pleasure to hear from you.
ReplyDeleteThe gem show is something I really want to attend one day...
