By now you probably know that I've joined in with Sally over at The Studio Sublime to step up to the photo challenge each week.
This is Week 3: Take Time
Me, I took a break one afternoon and sat outside.
I read my new book, sipped some Chai Tea and enjoyed some yummy chocolate!
Taking Time for Myself - NICE!
I even had some fun playing with some editing software, too.
And YES,...I did enjoy my favorite chocolate.
Thank you for asking!

I love the photos and the post editing too! I spy an amazing book there as well...have a fantastic week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Stacie - and yes, so far (first chapter) it's a good one. Paulo Coehlo books are among my fav's! :-)
DeleteLove your pictures - and that would be my favorite chocolate, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Patti - and yes, those are yummy are they not?!!
DeleteLOL I see you and I are birds of a feather, Shel...great pictures! I love playing with picture editors...
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Lori - it can be fun. I'm finding I think I like Pixlr better than picmonkey lately,...I should go try out some others and see what they're like, too.
DeleteYum! I'm coming over to your place - LOL! I'll bring tea :)
ReplyDeleteDoor's open!! :-)
DeleteTea and chocolate. No better way to take time for yourself.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteLove!
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteSounds like a lovely way to spend the time. Love your pictures and taste!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures. I love playing in photoshop. Chai tea is my favorite as well .. And chocolate .. A great combination.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tanya - I played in Pixlr this week w/them, too!!
DeleteChai tea and a chocolate! Sounds like a few minutes of heaven to me!!
ReplyDelete(I'm #40 this week)
Yes it was -especially the chocolate!! LOL!!
DeleteI think we could be friends what with the tea and chocolate! I also enjoy playing with the photos and love how yours turned out.
ReplyDeleteThank Annette!!
DeleteI Love tea and books and of course chocolate but have never tried chai tea, will nedd to try that. I really like the treatment on the black and white photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura - I played around w/Pixlr this week instead of PicMonkey like I normally use,...and a little bit of my PS elements 10 stuff, too
DeleteEverything is better with chocolate in my opinion, including 'me time' Your photos are lovely. I'm jealous that you were outside. It's too cold here to be out more than a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteAlice, it was cold for quite a bit here, too - didn't know if I was going to be able to sit out and do this or not this last week!!
DeleteLove the photo edits you used - also the close up of the chocolate (yum-o)!
ReplyDeleteHi Shel,
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful way to spend and hour or so in the afternoons.
Therese
It was Therese, it was!!
DeleteWonderful post, and that is MY FAVORITE chocolate! I have to be careful when I buy them and only allow one a day, otherwise I would eat them all in one sitting!!!! Love the book!
ReplyDeleteVera, I haven't read past chapter one in Aleph yet, but PC's the Alchemist is one of my fav's!! And, by the River Pedra was a good one, too!!
DeleteGreat pics! I'm trying no tbe be too jealous of everyone's sunshiney pics but man, adding chocolate to that sunshine just puts me over the edge!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes, the sunshine was nice, especially after it warmed up towards the end of the week!
DeleteGreat job on your pics. You got the chocolate right too.
ReplyDeleteThanks - I had fun playing w/some editing this week!
DeleteWhat a lovely little get away! And being able to sit outside, how nice that must be this time of year! :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun experimenting with different photo effects? I love your 'before and after' photos!
Thanks Karen. And yes, it was great to be able to sit outside this week - we had a really hard freeze for the first half and didn't think it would warm up!!
DeleteYou beautifully captured what I consider to be the perfect "me time" trifecta ... a good book, good tea, and delicious dark chocolate. Personally though, I think there should be more chocolate. =D
ReplyDeleteYes, more chocolate is needed isn't it Lola!! :-)
DeleteA lovely way to spend an afternoon! I'd be sitting right beside you enjoying my own book and I'd even bring chocolate. Love the photos and that mug.
ReplyDeleteThanks!! Believe it or not,...it's a mug from Walmart - it's one of my fav's!!
DeleteI am always looking for the next great book for me to read. I will have to check out Coelho. I have not read one from this author. Of course, I rarely take the time to read. So shameful considering that I am a former English teacher! But chocolate is an everyday luxury just for me. My mother taught me that it was a must! Enjoy the day. Erin
ReplyDeleteErin - yes Paulo Coelho is great. The Alchemist is among my all time favorite books ever - just started Aleph.
DeleteYour time for yourself sounds HEAVENLY to say the least. . .outside, book, chocolate, and even the tea. I want to come relax with you, it sounds relaxing! Sigh. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't get better than sipping tea while reading a book.
ReplyDeleteShel, I've stopped by your post three times this week and have gotten sidetracked by something on your blog each time! So before I even scroll anywhere else I want to tell you how much I love your photos for this weeks prompt and I'm so glad that you found sometime to sit on the porch (one of my favorite things to do), read and eat that yummy chocolate!
ReplyDeleteLOL Sally, that's a familiar thing to me,..getting sidetracked (Sidetracked Shelly, right here, yessiree!!)Thanks for offering up this wonderful journey this year, it's such a breath of fresh air and I'm learning so much about myself - it's quite amazing! Thank you!!
